Amazing Aurora photography capturing the beauty of this phenomenon.

The different colors are caused by different elements and altitudes. Reds and pinks occur at a high altitude typically caused by nitrogen scattering whereas the green occurs at lower altitudes and is caused by primarily oxygen, the less common yellow occurs as a product of the mixing of these two types and blues purples occur at the highest regions and are more rare.
